Life is ticking away in an incredibly high speed and we have absolutely no power to stop anything. Although we often look for it, there doesn't exist a real way to make time run slower or to imprison ourselves in the exact moment that might fascinate us. And still, as I stand in the middle of wild Louisiana, I am utterly in peace and tact with my own being and the killer named time that slowly beats in the depth of my own soul. This piece of land must have been a place where all worldwide philosophers were born. The lake in front of me runs into the never-ending nothingness and makes me question if the universe has its end. Here and there the calmness of the muddy water gets shaken by a herd of snowy white gulls, which let their presence know with a loud screeching. At first, I think that their shrieks are the only thing disturbing the serenity of this magical place, but then I get lost in the melody of the surrounding nature and discover much more. The stalks of tall, brightly green grass play in the wind their own lovely song while trees, which stand above this land like the vision of spectacular skyscrapers, resonate the bass-like drumming that I can feel pounding in my veins. The afternoon sun has just pushed the last shadow away from my face and touched my sun-burned skin through its heated rays when I suddenly get the feeling of absolute connection with everything that time has ever created here. It doesn't seem right to me, leaving my footprints in this unharmed soil, yet nothing drives me out of here. This place, which the world forgot about a long time ago and which connects every living thing in the spectrum of colors and emotions, is a home of my very existence. I don’t want to leave, my heart is crying and soul rejecting the whole idea, but the sun is slowly getting down and I need to get back to reality. Just yesterday the thought of time scared me, yet today I know that without time exists nothing. It is only up to us if we use our time to rush or if we decide to use our time to create and protect the beauty that makes us feel like our lives are no slaves of time. Everything is only up to us.
